Why Pharos?

Pharos is the Greek word for lighthouse, taken from the famous lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

A lighthouse does not stop the storm. It shows you where the hazards are in time to steer clear. That is the work of a security and risk advisor: spot threats early, mark them clearly, and guide you toward safer decisions. It stands steady in bad weather, sees from a high vantage point, and serves everyone who depends on it. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.

Common questions

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. Reports are shared only with you and stored securely, because they describe weaknesses that should stay private.

Do you install cameras or alarms?

No. We advise independently, so our recommendations are not tied to any product or installer.

What is an OSINT review?

OSINT means open-source intelligence: information anyone can find in public sources such as search engines, social media, public records, and data broker sites. We review what is exposed about you or your organization, with your written consent, and recommend ways to reduce it. It is not surveillance, and it is not an investigation of other people.

Will an assessment lower my insurance premiums?

It may. Many insurers offer discounts or other benefits for improved security, but terms vary. Ask your insurance provider what they offer and what proof they need after an assessment. Pharos cannot guarantee any discount.

Can you guarantee we will be safe?

No one can. An assessment reduces risk and helps you spend money where it matters most.

Where are you based, and where do you work?

Pharos is based in West Virginia and serves clients in the Midwest, Northeast, and beyond. Remote assessments are available anywhere.
